Julia Xu
Barrister and Solicitor
Before moving to New Zealand, Julia started her legal career in China, working as a lawyer since 1997. She then completed her Master of Law degree in Australia in 2000. Since 2008, when admitted to the Bar, Julia has been working in a couple of medium-sized law firms in Auckland before founding the firm in 2018.
Julia has extensive experience in Trust, Commercial law, Property subdivision and development, and works for many private and corporate clients. She approaches cases with clarity, making sense of complex issues, and advises clients on solutions.
Outside of work, Julia enjoys travelling and outdoor activities, especially sailing with her husband.

Jerome How
Barrister and Solicitor
Jerome completed a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Auckland in 2024. He obtained his LLB degree as a Graduate alongside a bachelor’s degree in art majoring in Politics and History. Whilst Jerome works his way through to being a lawyer, he also has an interest in watching and playing football with friends and family, as well as travelling and going to the gym when he is not at work.

Graduate
Dylan Graduated from the university of canterbury and joined Julia Xu lawyers in 2025. He obtained his LLB degree alongside his Bachelor of Commerce majoring in management minoring in economics. In his spare time Dylan enjoys watching and playing cricket, rugby, football, and basketball. Dylan further enjoys going to the gym, travelling and photography.
